From the Mentor:

Business Analyst at Mahindra Logistics | Pricing Manager at DHL | Assistant Manager at PwC |Consultant at EY| Institute of Chartered Accountants of India | Languages: French, English| Business Enthusiast

Hi I’m Khyati Panchal, a Chartered Accountant by profession, I am passionate about numbers. I was good at Quants and have a curious mind to know new concepts, new jargons, new stories!

That’s how I developed interest in studying the CA curriculum. I had an equal interest in learning French since my college days and hence pursued a course from Alliance Francaise de Bombay. I completed A1 to B1 level in it. I am also passionate about travel.

After clearing CA, Ernst and Young was my very first job in Transfer Pricing field and hence this job was very near and dear to me. After working for about 2 years at EY in a very demanding client-facing role, I switched to PwC for more growth and opportunities. At both of these big4 firms, I had worked extensively with the top and middle level management of Fortune 500 clients from various industries. This gave me an insight into their business, the industry in which they were working and I gradually developed a keen interest to work on the business side. Hence, I moved to a DHL Group’s startup called DHL Smartucking, as a Pricing Strategist. This was one of the best roles in finance, which protects the profitability of the company through devising appropriate pricing strategies. Here I was partly responsible for the profit and loss of the transport vertical  and had to manage a team of Pricing Analysts on one side and negotiate with Sales team on the other side. Thus, I could hone the covetous skills - 'the People skills' and the 'Negotiation skills'.

After about a year, I got an opportunity to work with a renowned co. which is part of an Indian conglomerate - Mahindra Logistics as a Business Analyst - Manager. I report to the CEO of Lords Freight (a subsidiary of Mahindra) and COO for executing various strategies on thier behalf. I'm responsible for analysing the financial and business data. I also assist in execution of cost saving strategies and analyse the reason for loss or low profits in case of crucial accounts for further action.

These 9 years of experience in the corporate world has provided me with the required experience and hone the critical skills to navigate through the challenges being thrown by the corporate world and have the right mindset to grow along the corporate ladder. I can help you with the tips to ace your interview by showing-off your positive side and confidently speak during the interview. I can also help you to hone the required skills after entering the cooperate world.
