5 must have soft skills

Hi guys, as we all know, getting a good job in today's competitive environment is quite challenging. With a plethora of candidates applying for the same position, it's important to have an edge over others.  And one of the key things that employers look for is your soft skills. When an employer hires someone, they want to see a spark in them - a drive that shows they're not just there to complete their assigned tasks, but to go above and beyond to contribute to the success of the company. So, in this video, Im going to share 5 imp. soft skills employers are looking for nowadays? Let's dive in!

Firstly, energy and passion are essential qualities that every employer is looking for in their employees. An employee who brings in energy and passion to put anything into action, can help shape the company's future by fostering a culture of innovation and growth. So, bring in that energy and the enthusiasm to make a difference.

Secondly, the attitude of never taking a "no" for an answer is essential. When working out something, one should not make adjustments to work it out and just live with it but must figure out a way to do the given task. Never become complacent. Have a positive mindset, apply your mind and come out with some or the other way to reach a workable and amicable solution.

Thirdly, procrastination is a big no-no. It is the most lethal deterrence for your career.  Procrastination means you are lagging behind your work schedule, your project timelines, and, the point of concern is that the overall execution of the policies of the company will be delayed. So, get rid of this habit and become more proactive in managing a project.

Fourth point, the blame game - it is something that employers hate. If you blame others or keep on passing on the ball to others’ court, the company will always see you as a person who does not want to go beyond his given duties. Be the person who takes ownership and find a solution to the problem rather than blaming others. For eg. Let's say we have a Holding company called ABC, where A, B, and C are all its subsidiaries and you are the employee of co. A. Suppose that a long-term client has approached you with an issue which they want to resolve with co. B. Now, as an employee of A, you have two options. You could simply tell the client to contact B directly and wash your hands off the matter. Or, you could take the initiative to get in touch with B's stakeholders and work together to solve the client's issue.

Here's the thing - the way you handle this situation can have a huge impact on the client's perception of your company. In the first scenario, the client may feel like you're just passing the ball to B, which could leave them feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. On the other hand, by taking the initiative to work with B's stakeholders and resolve the issue, you demonstrate a commitment to service your clients and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. This can help to build a stronger relationship with the client, making them more likely to continue doing business with your company in the future.

Lastly, employers look for people who are willing to take risks, who are not afraid of trying new things. This trait really gives the company an innovative mindset, and in turn help the company survive the dynamics of the current environment.

So, there you have it! These are the soft skills that employers are looking for nowadays. Always remember that soft skills are just as important as hard skills/technical skills. It's important to have a balance of both to excel in your career. Good luck!
